Once logged in the applet will appear and look similar to the image below:
Before tracing choose where the trace should be performed from. The drop down menu (circled above) by default provides This Server and My Computer as trace from locations. If My Computer is chosen an RA will have to be downloaded and run on your computer in order to perform the trace. Click the start button to run the traceroute.
The RA (Remote Agent) feature of VisualRoute Server is a very powerful tool, allowing you to run a traceroute between two destinations from anywhere in the world. For more information on using an RA click here.
The various tabs can be clicked to see different panes in more detail. The three buttons, also circled above, are (from left to right, Snap to text, Pop out applet and Log Out. |
