Adding an Alert to Trigger an Email based on test results

Step 1

Click the Configure Alerts link in the Administration section of the MyConnection Server (MCS) main menu.

Step 2

Enter a name for a new alert and click the Create button.

Step 3

The next step is to choose the type of alert and what scenario will trigger the alert.

For this example choose When a test is performed which meets certain criteria.

Step 4

For this example scroll down to MySpeed and check the With a D/load CoS of [x] option.

Doing this will add options to the light blue box at the bottom of the page.

Step 5

Under Actions check the Send an email option, this will also add to the light blue section at the bottom.

Firstly set a trigger value for the Download Speed parameter. Clicking the blue hyperlink will allow the user to switch between more than and less than.

To send an email to more than one person use a comma in between email addresses.

The template defines what information is sent in an email. There are default templates but it's possible to create custom templates.
