Send Results from a Remote Agent running on an Access Device to a different MCS server

Step 1

It's possible to send test results that take place on one server/access series device to a completely different server. The tutorial below explains how to do this for an Access Series device.

Click Connected Deviecs in the Access Series section of the Administrator menu in the MyConnection Server main menu.

Step 2

Existing Access Series devices that are running a remote agent will list the remote agent in the RA column, as shown below. Click the link of the remote agent you would like to change.

Step 3

The remote agent workload will then be shown. Cilck the modify link next to the task you want to change.

Step 4

The section you need is called Send results to. From this drop down menu choose the "Another MyConnection Server" option. This will then display a text box titled Host / IP.

NOTE: When entering the host or IP address of the MyConnection Server the HTTP:// is not required. For a host name just enter "hostname.mcs.com" or for an IP address just enter "203.244.211.205". Adding HTTP:// will cause the process to fail.

If all has been done correctly then the results should now be posted to the new MCS Server.
